Beneficiary is a 7th standard student from Ramanathapuram. She is living with her mother and a younger brother.
Her father was hospitalized for a disease and died in March 2014. After her father's death, her mother started to work in a primary school for low wages. Her mother's salary is their only source of income.
Because of her father's hospitalization for some period, they are having huge debt. Last year the same student approached us but we couldn't raise funds because the fees was paid before they approached us. As per our policy we pay fees directly to school/college.
Her younger brother is getting support for his education from the same primary school where his mother is working. This student was referred to Aalayam by a supporter. This school fees is for academic year 2015-16
